A New Rule for Hair Straighteners: What You Need to Know

Important Update for New Zealand Travelers

If you're planning to travel from a New Zealand airport, there's a recent change in aviation security guidelines that you need to be aware of. Unfortunately, traditional GHD cordless hair straighteners are now prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage.

But Don't Worry, There's a Solution!

While this may come as a disappointment, there's a workaround. Dyson cordless hair straighteners are still allowed in carry-on luggage. These devices feature a "flight mode" that complies with the new security regulations.

Important Note for Japan Travelers

Please note that regardless of the brand, all cordless hair straighteners are currently prohibited for travel to or from Japan.

Plan Ahead for a Hassle-Free Trip

To avoid any last-minute surprises at the airport, it's best to familiarize yourself with these new rules before your departure. If you're planning to travel with a hair straightener, make sure to choose a Dyson model or pack a traditional corded straightener in your checked luggage.

By staying informed and planning ahead, you can ensure a smooth and stress-free travel experience.
